Lead, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Eterna Plc

About the Role

Eterna Plc, a leading integrated energy company in Nigeria, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to strengthen and oversee its enterprise-wide risk management framework.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks that could impact business objectives, while embedding a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to conduct continuous risk assessments and monitoring across business operations.
• Develop and present risk reports, insights, and recommendations to risk owners, executive management, and the Board.
• Strengthen internal control systems in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, and strategies.
• Monitor and manage the organization’s credit risk exposure and ensure adherence to approved limits.
• Ensure receivables remain within established thresholds and acceptable risk appetite.
• Drive compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Promote a strong risk management culture across all departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CRMA, FRM, CFA, or ACCA are an added advantage.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in risk management or enterprise risk functions.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to design and implement effective risk management strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
