Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Human Resources Manager to drive strategic HR plans in line with our business goals.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement HR strategies, policies, and frameworks that align with our business objectives and growth trajectory.
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle—workforce planning, advertising roles, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee data and performance management records for timely insights and decision-making.
  • Partner with department heads to lead employee development, engagement programs, and performance evaluation systems.
  • Administer compensation structures, employee benefits, staff well-being, and health & safety policies.
  • Serve as an HR advisor on issues related to conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and employee engagement.
  • Track and report on key HR indicators such as turnover, staff engagement, retention, and absenteeism to drive improvements.
  • Ensure all HR practices are compliant with Nigerian labor laws and company policies through training, audits, and records.
  • Lead internal culture-building efforts, including employee recognition, events, and values-based initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to coordinate monthly payroll and ensure accurate and prompt payments.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial relations, human resources, or a similar field.
  • Five years or more of progressive HR experience, with at least two of those years spent in a managing capacity.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with solid documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues, make sound decisions, and manage sensitive employee matters confidentially.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of Nigerian labor laws and modern HR compliance standards.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms like BambooHR, Zoho People, or similar tools.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence at all levels.
