Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (C#, ASP.NET)
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Summary
We are in search of a highly experienced and capable Senior Backend Developer with strong proficiency in ASP.NET and C#.
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of backend development experience, particularly within the fintech space or in cross-border payment systems.
You will take responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable backend systems that handle high transaction volumes, with a focus on performance, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient, reusable, and dependable backend components using ASP.NET and C#.
- Build APIs and backend services for mobile and web platforms with an emphasis on performance and responsiveness.
- Work closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and QA to deliver complete product features.
- Integrate with external platforms, including KYC/AML systems, payment providers, and third-party APIs.
- Handle database performance tuning, complex queries, indexing, and optimization.
- Identify and resolve issues in current systems, and perform upgrades when required.
- Refactor and optimize legacy systems to enhance maintainability and speed.
- Implement and enforce secure coding and data protection standards across backend platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ backend development experience, ideally in fintech or financial services.
- Demonstrated understanding of secure development practices and data protection in financial platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS or Azure).
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and current development practices.
- Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET (Core and MVC), C#, and the .NET framework.
- Strong expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid experience with relational database systems such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Salary
₦900,000 – ₦1,000,000 monthly
