Sales & Marketing Manager at Ibis Hotel

The three-star Ibis Hotel Ikeja provides pleasant, air-conditioned rooms at reasonable prices. The Murtala Muhammed International Airport is ten minutes from the hotel. We are hiring to cover the following position:

Title of Position:  Sales and Marketing Manager

Where: Ikeja, Lagos

Tasks and Accountabilities

• To increase hotel revenue, oversee and manage all group, temporary, and catering/banquet sales activities.
• Create, carry out, and gather information for the yearly objectives, monthly reporting, sales and marketing budget, projections, and other reports as needed or instructed.
• Oversee and control all marketing, public relations, and promotional
• Attends customer meetings, property tours, and sales presentations with enthusiasm
• Oversees performance problems that occur in the teams responsible for sales and reservations.
• Communicates well with other departments
• Provides the department with a daily update on the main activities that are underway.
• To increase guest satisfaction, anticipate and resolve problems with visitors and use proactive procedures.
• Examine, evaluate, and assess market trends, competition, client demands, and feedback so as to be proactive and adjust using business intelligence.
• Creates new ideas and initiatives and assesses the success of existing ones.

Prerequisites

• It will be advantageous if you have prior experience managing sales and marketing for a global chain hotel.
• Proficiency of OPERA PMS is required.
