Job Description
We are seeking a smart and highly experienced Operations Lead to manage day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring effective service delivery, cost efficiency, and strong team supervision.
The successful candidate will ensure all logistics functions are executed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
The role will also involve process optimization, operational efficiency improvement, and boosting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and guide logistics teams, including drivers.
- Offer training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to staff.
- Maintain effective client communication to meet logistics requirements.
- Identify and implement process enhancements for smoother operations.
- Ensure proper workforce deployment, scheduling, and shift coordination.
- Address and resolve escalated customer logistics concerns promptly.
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage daily logistics tasks, such as routing and vehicle tracking.
- Create and apply strategies to boost efficiency, reduce expenses, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Handle operational budgets, monitor spending, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Detect cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Keep inventory at ideal levels and work with procurement for replenishment.
- Guarantee all orders are delivered as per agreed timelines and service-level standards.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational performance and productivity.
Fleet Management:
- Oversee the company’s fleet of vehicles, making sure they are used efficiently, maintained on schedule, and comply with safety regulations.
- Communicate with suppliers and service providers regarding maintenance and repair requirements.
Requirements
Who can apply for this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with up to 2 years’ relevant experience in logistics.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to type 60 words per minute.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation abilities.
- Strong grasp of procurement and logistics procedures.
- Previous experience in a vehicle leasing company is an advantage.
