As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking to hire a qualified and motivated Junior Account Officer to support our finance team.

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Account Officer to join our Lagos team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle financial transactions including receivables, payables, and payroll processing

• Assist in preparing key financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries

• Support internal departments and management with financial data and analysis

• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls

• Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory requirements and company policies

• Monitor financial data to identify irregularities, cost-saving opportunities, or process improvements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance

• Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial compliance practices

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Relevant professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) will be an added advantage
