Purpose of Role
This role is accountable for ensuring smooth, end-to-end customer supply chain operations—from demand forecasting to final cash collection—across Nigeria. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and excellent service to customers across Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Central Africa. You will also help standardize operations across West and Central Africa while supporting continuous improvement efforts within the supply function.
Top Accountabilities
- Foster collaborative supply relationships to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction with service levels.
- Develop and maintain SOPs with key stakeholders to meet delivery and documentation needs for Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Central Africa.
- Work with customers to establish accurate forecasts and meet forecast accuracy KPIs.
- Ensure order and shipment details for all regional markets are precise and timely, targeting 90%+ OTIF and eliminating demurrage.
- Champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across West and Central Africa to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Experience, and Leadership
- Minimum of a B.A. or B.Sc. degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in international logistics and customer service.
- Experience with the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive customer-focused outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights and provide actionable recommendations quickly.
- Skilled in leading impactful presentations and achieving results.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt communication styles when needed.
- Expertise in Nigeria’s import procedures and documentation.
- Fluency in English.
- Proven experience managing change, especially in people and process development.
