Job Overview
The Career Consultant & CV Specialist will work closely with Lagos Jobs registered members by offering free career consultation sessions, assessing their professional background, and providing guidance to help them become more competitive in the job market.
The role involves advising job seekers on career direction, skills to develop, professional positioning, and CV improvement so they can increase their chances of securing interviews and landing jobs more quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Career Guidance & Consultation

Conduct free career consultation sessions with Lagos Jobs registered members.

Assess candidates’ experience, strengths, career interests, and development areas.

Provide professional guidance to help job seekers improve their employability and job search strategy.

Recommend relevant skills, certifications, or training programs that can strengthen a candidate’s profile.
CV Review & Professional Branding

Review existing CVs and provide professional feedback for improvement.

Write, edit, and upgrade CVs for members who require professional assistance.

Ensure CVs are clear, well-structured, and aligned with modern recruitment standards.

Highlight candidates’ achievements, strengths, and career value effectively.
Job Search Support

Provide advice on effective job search strategies.

Guide members on how to better position themselves for job opportunities listed on Lagos Jobs.

Offer tips on interview preparation and professional presentation.
Requirements

Proven experience in CV writing, career coaching, recruitment, or HR support

Strong writing and editing skills

Good understanding of modern recruitment practices and employer expectations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to guide and motivate job seekers professionally
Preferred:

Background in Human Resources, Recruitment, Career Coaching, or Talent Development
