We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 3 Months (with possible extension based on performance)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with 3–4 years of proven expertise to join our team on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of establishing and optimizing accounting processes. Previous experience working with startups will be a significant advantage. The nature of this role requires candidates to live close to our Ikeja office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Establish or improve accounting systems and internal controls for a growing organization.
- Offer financial statistics and insights to back up management choices.
- Create accurate management reports, reconciliations, and financial statements every month.
- Maintain proper bookkeeping while ensuring compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must live in Ikeja, Lagos, which is close to the workplace.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Three to four years of experience in accounting.
- Prior exposure to startups or implementing accounting systems is highly desirable.
Salary
₦120,000–₦150,000 per month
