About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Auditor to join our Quality & Safety team. This position involves conducting thorough audits of maintenance operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving operational safety, identifying risks, and enhancing maintenance documentation and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth audits of aircraft maintenance activities, documentation, and procedures

  • Ensure all maintenance processes align with Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CAR) and internal standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule and execute audit plans

  • Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions

  • Maintain comprehensive records of audit outcomes, follow-ups, and resolution statuses

  • Provide feedback and share insights with senior management, quality assurance, and engineering teams

  • Validate maintenance documents including logbooks, work orders, and compliance records

  • Support ongoing updates to audit procedures in line with evolving aviation regulations and industry trends

  • Identify safety gaps and operational risks during audits and recommend effective solutions

  • Partner with the Safety Department to ensure continuous enhancement of safety protocols in maintenance operations


Requirements & Qualifications

  • HND or B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering or a related technical field

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the maintenance and audit department of a commercial airline

  • Strong working knowledge of aviation standards and regulations (NCAA, Nig. CAR)

  • Background in quality assurance, safety oversight, or regulatory compliance is an advantage

  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with auditing tools, digital record systems, and maintenance tracking software

  • Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage
