Job Title: Fiber Optics Engineer

Where: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Age Factor: Must be over 25 years old

Employment Type: Full- time

Key Responsibilities

• Install fiber systems and affiliated equipment at client sites, including racking, grounding, and cabling.
• Monitor and resolve faults affecting fiber infrastructure and connected devices.
• Install telecom equipment and demarcation points.
• Use fiber splicing and testing tools similar as OTDRs, power meters, digital multimeters, cleavers, and hand tools.
• Operate safely with ladders, duct rodders, and technical vehicles (e.g., bucket trucks).
• Work independently and troubleshoot specialized issues to deliver quick, dependable results.
• Be available for rotational shifts, on- call duties, overtime, and night work as required.
• Work with other departments and the OSP Manager to coordinate fiber- related conditioning.
• Perform live fiber ring cuts with zero service disturbance.
• Conduct fiber testing and document results for internal systems.
• Complete accurate records for equipment, terminations, and splicing activities.
• Support construction and engineering teams during fiber network deployment and activation.
• Install and configure fiber patch panels and associated hardware.

 Requirements

• BSc or HND in Electrical/ Electronics, Computer Engineering, or an affiliated field.
• At least 3 years’ specialized experience in telecoms or network operations.
• Proficient in Cisco networking switching, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with colorful telecom equipment from multiple merchandisers.
• Strong problem- solving skills and a team- acquainted mindset.
• Solid understanding of fiber optic technologies and installation stylish practices.
