Job Overview
We are seeking a Terminal CFO to oversee all financial functions at the terminal.
This leadership role involves managing financial operations, planning, compliance, risk control, and procurement processes.
Key Duties
Oversee Accounting Operations:
- Guarantee timely and precise recording and reporting of financial activities.
- Supervise end-to-end financial cycles, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and accounting processes.
Strategic Business Partnership:
- Align financial strategies with organizational and terminal-specific goals.
- Lead functional improvements such as system enhancements and shared service transitions.
- Enhance financial capabilities, intelligence, and internal processes.
- Contribute to terminal leadership and ensure accountability for financial outcomes.
Support Planning & Performance:
- Offer insights and benchmarks to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, investment evaluation, and business advisory services.
Ensure Financial Control & Risk Management:
- Uphold accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance in financial reporting.
- Manage internal controls, risk assessments, and fraud prevention measures.
- Oversee tax planning, regulatory compliance, and capital management.
- Handle financial claims, insurance coverage, and currency exposure.
Oversee Procurement and Legal Operations:
- Ensure effective day-to-day management of procurement and legal support functions in terminal operations.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics; professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, or RA are highly preferred.
- Prior knowledge of the shipping or container logistics industry is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills that can lead to company enhancements.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- 10–15 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with a solid background in business partnering or financial control.
- Competence with accounting systems, financial reporting, inventory control, and budgeting.
