Nigerian Army Recruitment 2025 for Trades and Non-Tradesmen/Women (90 Regular Recruits Intake)

The Nigerian Army, the land warfare division of the Nigerian Armed Forces, is inviting applications from eligible Nigerians for enlistment into the 90 Regular Recruit Intake (RRI) for both Trades and Non-Tradesmen/Women.

Location: Nationwide

Eligibility Criteria and Basic Requirements

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, single, and in possession of both National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) printout.

  • A minimum of four passes, including English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS examinations is required.

  • Candidates applying as tradesmen/women must possess a Trade Test or City and Guilds Certificate in addition to the academic qualifications.

  • All applicants must be medically, physically, and mentally fit, as required by Nigerian Army standards.

  • Applicants must be free from any criminal record or conviction.

  • A valid birth certificate (issued by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or local government) or age declaration is required.

  • Candidates must also provide a certificate of state of origin.

  • Minimum height requirements:

    • 1.68 meters for male candidates

    • 1.65 meters for female candidates

  • Age limits:

    • Non-tradesmen/women: 18 – 22 years (as of 30 December 2025)

    • Tradesmen/women: up to 26 years (as of 30 December 2025)

Steps to Apply:

  1. Create a user account with a functional email address.

  2. Log in with your username and password to complete the online application form.

  3. Print the completed form and the Guarantor Form.

  4. Submit the duly signed forms at your designated state recruitment centre during screening.

Important Notes and Instructions

  • There will be no Computer-Based Pre-Selection Test or Zonal Screening Exercise.

  • All screening will take place at each candidate’s state of origin.

  • Candidates are not allowed to bring electronic gadgets or recording devices to the screening venue.

  • Tattoos, body inscriptions, and piercings (other than tribal marks) are prohibited.

  • Multiple ear piercings for females are not permitted.

  • Applicants must present original copies of all educational certificates (from Primary to Secondary levels).

  • Membership in any cult, secret society, or fraternity will lead to disqualification.

  • Any candidate found guilty of document falsification will be disqualified and handed over to the police.

  • Recruitment into the Nigerian Army is completely FREE—do not pay anyone for assistance.

  • Candidates must come with their NIN Slip and BVN Printout.
