Line Maintenance Engineer at Green Africa Airways Limited

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Line Maintenance Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Role

  • Conduct daily inspections and all necessary checks before releasing aircraft for service.

  • Accurately perform assigned routine maintenance tasks as outlined in work instructions issued by Green Africa Engineering and the CAMO unit within the approved timeframe.

  • Adhere strictly to Green Africa’s procedures, control manuals, and applicable regulations (e.g., Nig. CARs) in all maintenance activities.

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in the workplace.

  • Ensure proper documentation of completed work, parts replacements, etc., in line with Green Africa’s procedures and NCAA requirements.

  • Account for all tools, equipment, and materials used during maintenance before releasing the aircraft for flight.

  • Diagnose, report, and rectify aircraft and component defects in accordance with procedures, manufacturer’s manuals, and NCAA standards.

  • Report any deficiencies in facilities, tools, or equipment as per company and NCAA requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Raise requisitions for supplies, tools, and parts required for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with airframe and powerplant ratings or Avionics rating / EASA or FAA license with NCAA validation.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience maintaining ATR 72-600 aircraft.

  • At least three (3) years of experience as a certifying engineer on type.

  • Solid knowledge of NCAA regulations.

  • Strong expertise in maintenance planning, inspections, repairs, and modifications.

  • Familiarity with interdepartmental functions within an airline.

  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are required.

  • Experience with maintenance software is an advantage.

  • Trained on ATR 72-600 engine run-up with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience.

  • Good understanding of maintenance contracts and manufacturer’s manuals (AIPC, MMEL, MEL, FIM, SRM, etc.).

  • Strong troubleshooting and defect rectification abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems.
