Job Title: Accountant
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Main Objective of the Job
The purpose of this position is to support timely payments, maintain accurate financial data, assist with administrative duties, and foster strong relationships with staff and vendors.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day accounting functions within the organization
- Help in the preparation and review of financial records to ensure accuracy
- Assist with presenting the company’s financial position to management and handling payables and receivables
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Contribute to building strong customer relations
- Support payroll processing tasks
- Aid in detecting and preventing financial discrepancies and fraud
- Assist in verifying daily financial reports across departments
- Help manage petty cash transactions
- Serve as a backup during the Senior Accountant’s absence
- Assist in reconciling POS (Point of Sale) statements
- Help manage office inventory and place supply orders
- Assist in creating financial and administrative reports, including expense tracking and budgeting
- Collaborate with sales and shop teams to enhance revenue performance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or a relevant discipline
- Minimum of one year post-NYSC work experience
- Professional certification is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Innovative thinking and adaptability
- Knowledge of modern accounting trends and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
- Solid problem-solving capabilities
Salary
₦150,000–₦200,000 Monthly Net (based on qualifications and experience)
