Job Overview
Petrogap Oil & Gas Limited is looking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in treasury functions, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, support cash management activities, and ensure accurate financial records in line with regulatory and IFRS requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Track and manage daily cash positions and prepare payment plans

Coordinate banking activities and support treasury operations

Assist with cash flow projections and liquidity planning

Ensure accurate and timely remittance of statutory obligations including VAT, PAYE, WHT, CIT, and pension contributions

Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts

Maintain general ledger integrity and perform regular bank reconciliations

Support budgeting processes, asset tracking, and internal control procedures

Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies

Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (minimum of First Class or Second Class Upper)

3–4 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to treasury and financial reporting

Professional certification (ACA or ACCA) is mandatory

Prior experience within the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Compensation and Benefits

Net monthly salary ranging from ₦500,000 – ₦600,000
