Job Overview

The Front Office Manager will lead and oversee all front office operations to ensure guests receive outstanding service from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for supervising the front desk, concierge services, bell desk, and night audit functions while ensuring smooth daily operations, revenue optimization, and effective interdepartmental collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise front office personnel.

  • Prepare staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations.

  • Promote a culture of professionalism, efficiency, and excellent guest service.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily front desk activities including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries.

  • Ensure the front office area maintains high standards of organization and presentation.

  • Manage VIP guest arrivals and resolve escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally.

Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Monitor departmental expenses and manage budgets effectively.

  • Drive room revenue growth through strategic pricing and occupancy management.

  • Prepare operational and occupancy reports as required.

Cross-Departmental Coordination

  • Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.

  • Serve as the primary communication link between the front office and other hotel departments.


Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be evaluated based on:

  • Guest satisfaction ratings and online review performance.

  • Achievement of departmental budget and labor cost targets.

  • Improvement in key revenue indicators such as Average Daily Rate (ADR) and Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR).


Requirements

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within hotel front office operations, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline (preferred).

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
