Website Designer at The Social Butterfly Haven

The Company

The Social Butterfly Haven Company/Agency is seeking an experienced website designer on a remote and contractual basis to join her growing team providing digital marketing services for beauty and wellness brands.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal design and development teams to create and update digital assets, such as icons and graphics for website sections.

• Create functional websites for services and product-based beauty and wellness businesses.

• Develop additional pages for multi-page websites using existing designs.

• Utilize HTML/CSS skills to implement design elements effectively.

• Understand how to leverage branding across different mediums, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Maintain and back up all project files according to systematic processes and procedures.
• Present work to the Creative Director and actively participate in project reviews, brainstorming sessions, and critiques.
• Audit existing websites and provide guidance for actionable steps.
• Incorporate SEO friendly practices in website designs.

  Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Web Designer.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles.

• Excellent creativity and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Have a good understanding of SEO best practices.

• Proficiency in HTML/CSS for implementing design elements.

• Experience working with beauty & wellness brands is preferred but not required.

• Ability to create a Google My Business Profile is preferred but not required.

• Must know how to set up ecommerce websites and integrate platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, MailChimp etc into websites.
