Your Responsibilities
- You will ensure the coordination of periodic maintenance activities, reporting regularly to EXCO.
- You will oversee the planning and execution of service and maintenance of equipment according to OEM specifications or as directed by management.
- You will ensure reports on repairs and maintenance are accurate and complete.
- You will enforce strict adherence to permit-to-work and isolation systems during tasks.
- You will inform EXCO of any technical issues or limitations affecting plant safety or operation.
- You will maintain an adequate supply of spare parts to support safe and efficient operations.
- You will assume full responsibility for the Operations budget.
- You will collaborate with Asset Managers for the safe and optimal operation of engines, networks, and power plants.
- You will manage communication with OEMs and equipment vendors.
- You will ensure all third-party equipment at the plant is fit for purpose, certified, and properly maintained.
- You will implement follow-up actions based on audit findings from regulatory authorities or management.
- You will initiate and process all requisitions and purchase orders for maintenance needs.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- You will lead and champion a positive safety culture across all operating plants.
- You will ensure compliance with company safety policies and provide guidance on safety practices.
- You will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for environmental protection.
People Management
- You will organize the Operations team to meet set objectives and KPIs as determined by management.
- You will ensure team members are trained to meet competency requirements.
- You will lead performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and recommendations for promotions or disciplinary actions.
The Ideal Candidate Has/Is
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in asset management with a focus on power systems and knowledge of gas or internal combustion engines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a similar discipline).
- Professional membership in an engineering body (e.g., COREN, NSE).
- Expertise in power generation, distribution, plant design, and maintenance.
- Experience with budgeting, operations data analysis, technical reporting, and project management.
- Knowledge of compressed natural gas and renewable energy systems is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operations planning tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
