Position Overview:
This role involves reviewing, preparing, and completing reports on adverse drug experiences to evaluate the safety profile of Pfizer’s products and comply with regulatory standards. It also includes determining when local submission of individual or aggregated safety reports is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and handle case-related activities
  • Review, assess, verify, and document case information including event details, validity, seriousness, timelines, and accuracy
  • Ensure processed cases meet compliance and process requirements, including special scenarios
  • Collaborate with local and global partners for safety data collection and reconciliation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and global regulations, guidelines, SOPs, and safety database functions
  • Determine reportability of scheduled reports, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Apply Pfizer policies and regulatory requirements consistently
  • Participate in safety-related activities at local, internal, and external levels when needed
  • Assess case details to determine the correct processing procedures.
  • Identify complex or specific cases for escalation
  • Write and edit detailed case narratives
  • Conduct follow-up activities, including generating follow-up requests as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Health Care Professional or equivalent experience
  • Able to meet individual goals while adhering to departmental standards
  • Able to perform effectively under guidance in a cross-functional or matrix-style work environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Able to independently solve routine problems and raise issues constructively when needed
  • Makes informed decisions with awareness of potential consequences

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in pharmacovigilance or data management is preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with relational database management is advantageous
  • Medical writing skills are a plus
  • Strong computer literacy
