We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to design effective cancer treatment plans.
  • Prepare patients for CT simulations required for treatment planning.
  • Accurately document radiation dosage, machine parameters, and patient responses throughout therapy.
  • Monitor patients for potential side effects and report findings for possible treatment modifications.
  • Review patient sessions offline under supervision and make necessary technical adjustments.
  • Administer radiation during brachytherapy sessions.
  • Conduct CT scans and transmit acquired images for oncologist contouring.
  • Perform routine checks on therapy equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols to protect both staff and patients.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiography plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Radiotherapy.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Must hold a valid license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
  • Participation in ARN conferences or RRBN continuing education programs is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of another local language is beneficial.
  • Strong team collaboration and time management abilities.
  • Radiographers with diagnostic backgrounds and an interest in therapy are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous training or experience with IAEA programs (fellowships, seminars, or workshops) is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of Brachytherapy techniques is highly desirable.

Salary

₦300,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly
