Role Overview
- This position supports the planning, development, and implementation of capital projects within the supply chain. The ideal candidate will contribute to technical development, feasibility assessments, and ensure that projects meet quality, safety, and environmental standards while supporting efficiency and innovation.
- Adherence to Mondelez’s engineering and project execution frameworks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of capital projects, ensuring they meet business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish clear project plans, technical strategies, and financial forecasts.
- Implement engineering innovations and company standards during project development.
- Champion best practices for equipment usage, resource optimization, and standardized processes across operations.
- Ensure all equipment and installations meet safety, quality, and productivity benchmarks.
- Drive compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols.
- Promote a safety-first culture, including the proper use of safety devices and compliance with Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Support maintenance schedules (PPM) and ensure equipment reliability in collaboration with plant leadership.
- Analyze performance metrics and support production audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs (GEMBA) to maintain operational standards.
- Provide post-project evaluations and contribute to sustained equipment performance.
Internal & External Collaboration
- Internally: Coordinate with production leads, plant maintenance, quality assurance, and technical pillars.
- Externally: Work with equipment suppliers and contractors to deliver timely and effective project support.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of HND or BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process plant.
- Project management certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in engineering operations, project implementation, and analysis.
- Strong familiarity with TPM/IL6S methodologies.
- Competence in MS Office and the ability to interpret engineering diagrams (P&ID, etc.).
- Experience with MS Project software is advantageous.
- Skills in process optimization, packaging development, and data interpretation are important.
