Job Summary
The Operations and Logistics role requires overseeing logistics operations across the entire country, ensuring efficient inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and risk management.
Responsibilities
-Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and operations strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
– Collaborate with senior management to align logistics activities with business goals and objectives
– Oversee the entire logistics and supply chain operations including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
– Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various locations across the country.
– Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers
– Supervise inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
– Implement effective warehousing strategies to maximize space utilization and ensure safety and security of stored products.
– Coordinate and oversee transportation and haulage operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times
Job Requirements
– BSC/HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics and operations management within the FMCG sector, specifically in the cable and wire industry.
– Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and risk management.
– Proficiency in e-commerce and logistics software.
