Nigeria Customs Service (NCS): Established in 1891, the Nigeria Customs Service was tasked with collecting taxes, keeping track of them, and combating smuggling. These days, the government increasingly views trade facilitation as a crucial component of economic strategy, and customs holds a special place as the center of the global supply chain for products and services.
We are hiring to cover the following positions:
Title of Position: Customs Assistant Cadre
Location: Nigeria
Primary Requirements
- Must be a natural-born citizen of Nigeria.
- A current National Identification Number (NIN) is required.
- Must not be the subject of an inquiry or have a criminal record.
Qualifications for the Customs Assistant Cadre:
O’Level (WAEC or NECO) Prerequisites for Medicine:
- Both mental and physical fitness are required.
- Proof of medical fitness from an accredited government medical facility.
Title of Position: Superintendent Cadre
Location: Nigeria
Key Requirements
- Must be a natural-born citizen of Nigeria.
- A current National Identification Number (NIN) is required.
- Must not be the subject of an inquiry or have a criminal record.
Academic prerequisites for the Superintendent Cadre position:
- HND (Higher National Diploma) or a university degree
- NYSC discharge certificate
Medical requirements
- Both mental and physical fitness are required.
- Proof of medical fitness from an accredited government medical facility.
Title of Position: Inspectorate Cadre
Location: Nigeria
Key Requirements
- Must be a natural-born citizen of Nigeria.
- A current National Identification Number (NIN) is required.
- Must not be the subject of an inquiry or have a criminal record.
Academic prerequisites
Inspectorate Cadre:
Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) or National Diploma (ND) from any recognized university.
Medical Conditions:
- Both mental and physical fitness are required.
- Proof of medical fitness from an accredited government medical facility.

Conditions in General
- Candidates must be born Nigerian.
- Candidates must have earned a First School Leaving Certificate and finished their elementary school education.
- Male applicants must be at least 1.7 meters tall, and female applicants must be at least 1.64 meters.
- Candidates must be in good health and not have any physical or mental disabilities.
- Candidates must not have a criminal conviction under their belt.
- Candidates cannot be drug users, members of cults, or secret society members.
- A certificate of state or LGA of origin is required of applicants.

- It is strictly forbidden for candidates to present any fraudulent documents.
- Any document that is falsified will be immediately disqualified and could result in legal action.
- Only those who have been shortlisted will be considered for the following stage of the procedure.
