Job Summary:
The IT Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth functioning of the company’s IT systems. This role involves supervising IT staff, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring the security and efficiency of all IT-related activities within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
• Supervise IT staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of IT projects.
System Maintenance & Support:
• Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems.
• Ensure that all IT equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
Network Administration:
Manage the company’s network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
Monitor network performance and implement necessary upgrades or fixes.
Cybersecurity:
• Implement and enforce security protocols to protect company data and systems.
• Monitor for security breaches and take immediate action to mitigate risks.
User Support:
• Provide technical support to employees, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries.
• Manage helpdesk operations, ensuring prompt resolution of technical problems.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of IT activities, including system changes, issues, and solutions.
Prepare regular reports on IT operations for management review.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or ITIL.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and systems.
