General Manager – Bar & Restaurant

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead operations at our bar and restaurant in Ajagbandi, Lagos. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day activities, drive customer satisfaction, oversee staff performance, and ensure the bar and restaurant meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, including dining, bar, and kitchen functions, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff, promoting a positive work environment and maintaining high service standards.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and meet financial goals.
• Manage inventory, control costs, and maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations to create a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
• Address customer complaints and feedback promptly to maintain a positive reputation and ensure repeat business.
• Plan promotional events, in collaboration with the marketing team, to attract new customers and increase revenue.
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms and maintain adequate stock levels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or in a managerial role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and handle challenging situations with a calm demeanor.
• Basic financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or management certification is a plus.
