Role Overview

The Engineering Supervisor will lead day-to-day engineering activities within the factory, ensuring all technical operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with required standards. This role oversees engineering teams, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and manages the reliability and optimization of utility systems including power, water, HVAC, compressed air, steam, and diesel systems.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving plant efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise engineers and technicians within the utilities function.

  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor project execution.

  • Coach, mentor, and assess team performance.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and innovation within the department.

2. Engineering Projects & Operations

  • Plan and coordinate engineering projects from concept through completion.

  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Review and validate engineering drawings, documentation, and technical reports.

  • Provide line-focused engineering support to enhance efficiency across production and packing lines.

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), manage Engineering Work Orders (EWO), and drive reduction of breakdowns (BD), MTTR, and MTBF improvements.

3. Technical Management

  • Provide expert guidance on engineering processes, tools, and industry best practices.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Ensure all operations comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulations.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance performance and reduce costs.

  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence initiatives.

  • Monitor industry trends and integrate modern technologies where applicable.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.

  • Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance across engineering operations.


Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Strong technical knowledge of utility systems such as power distribution, boilers, chillers, HVAC, and water treatment systems.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Sound understanding of engineering standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capability.
