The Job
As the distribution & coverage lead, your role is to ensure that the strategic objective is achieved. Also, you will be tasked with supervising the distribution of goods by ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time, in good quantity, and at a good cost.
Duties
-Managing budgets and planning expenditures to ensure that costs are kept under control while still achieving business goals.
-Reviewing sales reports to identify market trends and areas for improvement in product lines or distribution methods.
-Recommending changes to product lines based on consumer trends.
-Analyzing market data to determine the best locations for new distribution centers or stores based on customer demographics and purchasing patterns.
-Creating distribution schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
-Ensuring strategic objective is fully achieved.
Analyzing stock levels and establishing order schedules.
Skills
-Good oral and written communication skills.
-Good leadership skills.
-Demonstrated experience in sales and customer relationship management.
-Excellent knowledge of the business, product, services, business prospecting and sales activation.
-Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
-Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools
Knowledge of branding, research, and development.
-Should have basic technical knowledge and troubleshooting.
-Understanding of market intelligence and competitors’ insights
-Knowledge to prepare commercialization reports, and monthly and quarterly business performance reports.
-Qualifications
-Minimum of B.SC in Business Administration, Marketing, or any relevant field etc.
-An MBA or master’s degree in any business-related discipline is an advantage.
-Have at least 8-10 years in sales and leadership capacity in an FMCG sector.
