Position: Cybersecurity Engineer
Where: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (with Flexible Work Options)
Position Overview:
We are in search of a proactive and skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance our organization’s defense against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will bring practical experience in the design, implementation, and management of security infrastructures, with a strong focus on threat detection and incident response. This position requires expertise in creating advanced security solutions, automating threat mitigation measures, and collaborating with internal teams to manage evolving cybersecurity challenges.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support for security tools such as PAM, IAM, AppSec, Imperva WAF/DAM, Fortinet EDR, and Foglight.
- Tailor and implement customized security measures to meet client-specific needs.
- Address and resolve security incidents promptly, minimizing system downtime and optimizing performance.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and comprehensive reports for client systems.
- Support clients in utilizing security tools effectively while ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends to continually enhance security practices.
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams to design and deliver customized security solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits, providing practical recommendations to mitigate risks.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly with PAM, IAM, and AppSec.
- Proficient in using tools such as Imperva WAF/DAM, Fortinet EDR, and endpoint security software.
- Familiarity with Foglight monitoring solutions.
- Strong analytical abilities for resolving complex security challenges.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Experience in designing and maintaining client-specific security infrastructures.
- Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and OWASP.
- Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CISM, CEH, and others are preferred.
Skills and Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- In-depth understanding of Application Security (AppSec) and associated best practices.
- Experience working with Imperva WAF and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
