For this role

They are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Finance Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for contributing to the company’s strategic planning process, working closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate, analyze, and support the achievement of strategic priorities. You will play a key role in developing business cases, preparing financial models, and supporting capital allocation strategies to drive business growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will evaluate, define, and prepare relevant market assessments and commercial pricing analyses for power and gas sales forecasts.
  • You will conduct appraisals on prospective business and investment opportunities, advising management accordingly.
  • You will manage financial due diligence exercises during fundraising activities.
  • You will own and support the capital allocation strategy and review process.
  • You will maintain and update consolidated corporate models, including the strategic business plan, annual budget, and periodic forecasts.
  • You will support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting on commercial and investment activities.
  • You will prepare investor relations documents, including board presentations.
  • You will provide financial integration and capitalization support, making recommendations on mergers and acquisitions.
  • You will assist the finance team in understanding variances to budgets, especially those driven by business activities.
  • You will act as the primary point of contact for budget-related inquiries.
  • You will conduct research on industry trends, pricing, and comparable indicators, advising management on findings.
  • You will support the CFO with financial analytics and corporate presentations as required.
  • You will review financial statements and reports to determine progress toward strategic goals, revising plans as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate Has/Is

  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-NYSC professional experience in financial analysis and reporting, with consulting experience being an advantage.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree and/or professional certification in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity instruments, and deal structuring.
  • Experience with corporate and capital budgeting, investment management, and strategic business planning.
  • Proficiency in IFRS reporting standards, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of the power/energy industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and highly organized.
  • A team player who is self-motivated, flexible, and maintains confidentiality.
