Role Overview

The Control Room Operator will be responsible for monitoring terminal operations through advanced control systems and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient plant performance. The role requires prompt decision-making, technical expertise, and strong collaboration with field and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor terminal activities using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and related technologies.

  • Take immediate corrective actions to maintain stable operating conditions and resolve deviations.

  • Coordinate effectively with field operators and maintenance teams to support seamless operations.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, diagnose faults, and implement corrective measures.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance process efficiency and plant performance.

  • Work closely with project and maintenance teams on system upgrades and modifications.

  • Prepare detailed shift reports outlining operational events and actions taken.

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in a relevant technical discipline.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar control room or operations role.

  • Hands-on experience with control systems and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

  • Good understanding of terminal operations, instrumentation, and related equipment.

  • Familiarity with hazardous operations and emergency response procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Clear and effective communication skills.
