Responsibility
- Verify that standards for pay and benefits adhere to business guidelines as well as any applicable laws or regulations.
- Evaluate, suggest, and secure approval for adjustments to pay and perks at every levels.
- Assist the compensation and benefits function by helping to build policies and processes in Nigeria and other places.
- Establish the pay and benefit plan for the company and help with the Group Compensation Philosophy design.
- Encourage market and pay survey participation.
- Make sure that employee inquiries about pay and benefits are adequately addressed.
- Oversee and plan the work of support personnel and specialists.
- Select and oversee external partners, including investment managers, insurance brokers, and benefits providers.
- Supervise the dissemination of information to the organization’s personnel regarding compensation and benefits.
- Verify that pay and benefit plans adhere to both state and federal laws.
ensuring that benefit and pay schemes are competitive and economical. - To preserve market positioning, keep an eye on evaluations of perks and compensation packages.
- Engage in due diligence when mergers, acquisitions, and consolidations are taking place.
- Organize the dissemination of information about pay and benefits to staff members and other HR departments.
- Assist with planning audits, government filings, and other tax-reporting obligations.
- Using data and cost studies to compare salaries, job classifications, benefits, and compensation plans.
- Creating research- and analysis-based reports and suggestions for the senior executive team.
Prerequisites
- A business administration bachelor’s degree or a similar discipline.
- Eight to ten years of relevant experience working as a compensation and benefits specialist.
- Outstanding familiarity with and expertise in HRIS database administration and Microsoft Office (Excel).
- It is essential to have professional HR qualifications.
- Excellent knowledge of the laws, rules, and trends pertaining to our main operations and locations.
- A solid grasp of labor and employment laws in the nations where the Group operates, as well as an awareness of employee/industrial relations.
- Excellent project management abilities
- Outstanding budgeting and money management abilities
- Extensive knowledge of creating pay and benefit plans and assessing their effectiveness.
- Professional certification from ACCA or ICAN will be advantageous.
- Thorough awareness of HR metrics and how they affect the business
- Excellent analytical abilities
