Job Description
We are seeking skilled and degreed engineers to handle on-site life extension projects, repairs, and inspection-related services for our installed fleets. This role also involves supervising the construction and commissioning of both new and existing equipment at customer sites. Key activities include on-site machining, NDT, blading, winding, precision welding, and generator diagnostics.
Responsibilities:
- Make informed engineering decisions to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Apply and expand technical expertise in your discipline to execute company policies and strategies.
- Support specialized technical projects while building advanced knowledge and skills.
- Understand key business drivers and use this insight to accomplish assigned tasks effectively.
- Integrate your work seamlessly with other teams to contribute to overall operational success.
- Exercise autonomy within defined frameworks, resolving technical issues using sound judgment.
- Seek guidance from senior team members for complex challenges outside established procedures.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the main interface between the client and GE.
- Clearly explain technical information to team members and clients.
- Lead and mentor junior team members when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Solid technical knowledge in equipment servicing, repairs, and commissioning.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound technical judgment.
- Ability to integrate work within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to foster strong customer relationships.
- Leadership qualities and the capacity to mentor younger team members.
