As an Accountant at Loochi Investment Limited, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization’s sustainability and profitability. This position involves managing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning, and analysis, as well as overseeing compliance, audits, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements) and recommend actionable insights.
  • Forecast costs and revenues to guide financial planning.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the company’s budget.
  • Conduct regular reviews for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and manage accounts and tax returns.
  • Lead internal audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
  • Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Analyze financial trends and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Design and implement frameworks for finance department goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic investment advice and conduct detailed risk analyses.
  • Monitor the organization’s financial health and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, and revenue trends compared to business plans.
  • Develop financial projections and communicate plans with other departments.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations.
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership abilities to guide financial processes effectively.
  • Familiarity with statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Educational Qualification: BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Additional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in accounting roles.
  • Must reside within the Lagos mainland.
  • Age Limit: 40 years.
